Its been about 8 months since super gino put down our new floor. We left the hallway, bathroom and kitchen (soon-to-be pantry) till this year, with the plan to tile it. Yet after finding the original school floor underneath 5 layers of laminate, fluff, corkboard, chipboard and lino tiles, it would be sacrtiligious to tile over it!

hey…have you had a floor weekend too?
we were replacing floorboards in our front room. floorboards vs chipboard = no contest.
they are not as glamorous as your discovery though -lucky you!
(all we found under our floor was some rotten wood and a walkers ready salted crisp packet from 1985 - no gold buillon for us)
Mum, i’m not sure what wood it is - how can you tell?
And luce - under our bath we found
• one page 3 copy of a 1992 edition of The Sun
• one can of Special Brew
Obviously your builders had a touch more class than ours
or maybe all the other incriminating evidence melted away in the damp….
so no gold bullion for you either, thats a shame - lucky you have asuch a beautiful wood floor instead.
we forgot to plant a time capsule (which is what Scott was hoping for I think) but the gaps between the boards might be big enough to get something down there - any time capsule tips??
