Milestone

I thought it might be nice to start posting milestones. Information about facts about my life.

Today I am living at flat 7, 236 Dalston Lane, Hackney E8 1LX
I have lived here over 2 years.
I am living with Anneli Mona Widergren, a lovely swedish girl with a love of converse and hate/love of cashmere.
I am also living with Gustav Per Radstrom, a hyperisland and work friend of mine and nico’s, who is the Chef and workout lover.
And of course, Nico Gunnar Alexander Nuzzaci, my boyfriend of 2 years and the love of my life.

I recently started a new job at topshop which I have been at for 1 month.
I cycle to work everyday.
Nico and I are going on holiday to hel in 1 week.

Tonight I am sitting with Anneli, Gustav and Nico. Anneli is lying on the rug chatting. Nico is eating chicken terryaki. He has been to a wine tasting. Gustav has been to the gym and is eating the rest of Nico’s chicken terryiaki.

Basketball and benny

Today was THE basketball match…well…THE FIRST OF MANY basketball matches. It started as an idea between me and benny to have an east vrs north london basketball match. However it didn’t really turn out like that but it was still really good fun. A saturday sunny day spent scuffing up dust clouds as we lept with inexperience, hands waving madly in attempts to stop a potential basket, or really just to try to get the ball.

The crew included myself, nico, g, benny, maria, julia and gustav’s ex-flatmate hannah. Hannah spent most of her time on the mobile phone. G was rather good, good enough to cover hannah’s mobile phone handicap. It was probably the most fun basketball game i’ve played. And after, collapsing on the grass, dusty and tired, chatting in the sun, it was one of those days you thank life for your friends, saturdays and parks.

Super Gino Returns!!

floors

Nico’s dad is the human duracell bunny! He is super-gino! With a sparkly-eyed italian and a love of spaghetti, he just winds himself up and gets down to work.

This time it was our new floors. Lovely brown oiled wood from Kährs that were extra special because of their beveled edge. Now I never took myself for being one that got excited about bevels, but these bevels are tasty!

So after a rather hectic week, what with nico driving nights in sweden, Death Cab gig and new job drinks, Gina et mamma muu’s plane was delayed and they arrived way past my bedtime. However, there they were, at the crack of friday, with nico, ready to do the floors.

During the laying nico found a hole in the wooden floor and in true nico-style quickly wrote a time-capsule letter and popped it down there. It was titled “Hello I’m a note from 2006″. If you find the wee thing in the future, do give him an email. Apart from the note, the nuzzaci’s adopted a ‘ferrari’ - a sir ken of hover (who is sans bag!)

Saturday saw me take a girls day out shopping with mamma muu. I don’t know what it is with these nuzzaci’s but, as nico agreed, she is to shopping what gino is to laying floors. So while we were playing cowgirl shootemup in john lewis, the men were back at home watching the football and tackling to trickiest part of the floor. I did purchase some lovely new trousers from BEUK off carnaby street. Its got to be my favourite, and therefore most dangerous, shop in london.

A MASSIVE thankyou to Gino, Mamma muu, nico and Gustav for all their hard work and careful laying skills. The flat is now a completely new being. I think gustav is especially pleased as he has a trendy new loft bed which will require dexterity of sleeping and strong jumping skills.

My only worry is that I will turn into one of those screaming home-owners who is constantly nagging people to remove their shoes and awakens, hot and sweaty at night from a nightmare where a massive hamster is making scratches on their floor. Oh well.. should that be, I will embrace it. Monica-dom here i come!
