From one of my favourite scupturists, the Cloud Gate stands like a giant mirrored jelly bean in the Millenium Park in Chicago. I remember when I first saw Kapoor’s work at the Baltic in Newcastle. The Baltic was in the middle of its recycling process into an art gallery and Kapoor used the interior to make this giant red artery tube of a slide. You couldn’t actually slide down it, but I really wanted to, and this is what I love about his work, that it inspires childish imagination and memories.

The Real Thing is an installation by Helmut Smits that converts coca-cola into clean drinking water. Rather ingenious. Check out his work.
